Diana Chambers Executive Director
Diana has over 10 years of management and operations experience in independent and assisted living. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a degree in Education. Her varied management experience in senior living includes opening two new Assisted Living and Dementia care communities in Northern California. She was a member of the Central California Alzheimer’s Association Education Committee, a board member on the Emeryville Transportation Management Association, and is active in numerous professional organizations.
Diana’s role at Tuscany is the day-to-day operation of the community; she is directly responsible for the supervision of all staff. Diana is committed to resident satisfaction through collaboration with all departments, addressing resident’s collective and individual concerns and assuring that all departments run at their highest expectation. Tuscany’s vision of a comfortable, peaceful and thriving atmosphere for the residents is her highest priority.
A native of Northern California, she is enjoying Arizona’s many outdoor activities. Walking and biking the lush greenbelt at McCormick Ranch and discovering the great hiking trails and beautiful lakes of Scottsdale. |

Suzy Rhoads Program Director
Suzy has been with Tuscany at McCormick Ranch since its inception in April 2003. She began her career in Michigan as a secondary education teacher but found her passion for seniors when presenting an “Adopt a Grandparent” program. She returned to the University to obtain her Masters degree in social work and served as a Director of Social Work in senior living for over thirty years.
Suzy’s role at Tuscany is providing an energetic and diverse activity program that enhances the lives of each Resident at Tuscany. Suzy coordinates and encourages Resident involvement, schedules professional presentations, serves as editor of the Tuscany Grapevine and hires performers and exercise specialists. Suzy ensures resident satisfaction by offering residents the opportunity to find common ground, build relationships and develop a sense of “family” through a dynamic activity program.
Suzy moved to the Phoenix area in 1982. She has three grown children and two grandchildren. Her spare time activities include family, church, gardening and decorating. |

Michael Schwalbe Executive Chef
Chef Michael Schwalbe joined Tuscany at McCormick Ranch in March 2005. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York. He has more than 25 years of knowledge and experience in the food and beverage industry, and has held management positions in fine dining, corporate and senior living organizations.
Chef Mike’s role is to develop an exceptional cuisine and provide quality service for an outstanding dining experience. Chef Mike ensures resident satisfaction through developing appetizing menus, offering the highest quality in food by selecting only qualified purveyors and soliciting feed back from Tuscany residents. He has received many acknowledgements including Food Service Director of the Year, featured in the Arizona Republic and showcased on “Your life A to Z, Sonoran Living and Arizona Midday Live.
Chef Mike grew up in New Jersey and moved to the Phoenix area in 1987. Outside of work Chef Mike and his wife enjoy spending time around the baseball and softball diamond, watching their teenage son and daughter play competitively. |

Susan Schulte Business Office Manager
Susan began with Tuscany at McCormick Ranch in November 2005. She served as a Customer Service Manager for over 11 years prior to Tuscany.
Susan’s role as Business Office Manager is to manage administrative responsibilities including billing of resident monthly charges, and collecting monthly rent checks. Susan ensures resident satisfaction through supervision of the Concierge staff, addressing resident’s concerns and providing a warm welcome upon first entering Tuscany. Susan’s additional responsibilities include employee payroll, HR, and working with Tuscany’s vendors.
Susan first moved to the Phoenix area in 1979. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Susan has one child currently in college. Originally from New Jersey, Susan lived throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Susan loves her family, traveling and antiquing. |

Michael Bellanti Maintenance Director
Michael joined Tuscany at McCormick Ranch management team January 2011. He has over 26 years experience in Industrial facilities maintenance. Michael’s knowledge in facilities maintenance covers a variety of areas that provides an excellent resource to Tuscany.
Michael’s role at Tuscany is the care and maintenance of the interior and exterior of the community. He is responsible for all maintenance and housekeeping services and supervises the staff from each of those departments. Michael ensures resident satisfaction through maintaining the cleanliness and operation of each apartment or villa and addresses any issues that may arise while a resident is living at Tuscany.
Originally from Wisconsin, Michael moved to the Phoenix area in 2001. Michael is married with 3 children and 1 grandchild. When Michael is not working on a project at Tuscany, he enjoys spending time with his family. Michael is a member of the International Facilities Management Association and is actively on the education committee. |
