Frank Dinie
Executive Director
Frank joined Tuscany at McCormick Ranch in December 2005. Beginning his career in 1991, Frank’s has held a variety of management positions in senior living services — Retirement Community, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Care, and Hospice.

Frank’s role at Tuscany is the day-to-day operation of the community, is directly responsible for the supervision of all staff and ensures a comfortable, peaceful and thriving atmosphere for the residents of Tuscany. Frank ensures resident satisfaction through overseeing all departments run at their highest expectation and addressing resident’s collective and individual concerns.

Originally from Ohio, Frank graduated from Kent State University. He lived in Illinois and arrived in Arizona in 1999. Frank takes pleasure in spending time with his wife and their 4 young children. He also enjoys serving at his church with children and facilitating men’s groups. Occasional he finds the time to play a round of golf. Email Frank Dinie.

Mary Quinlan
Marketing Director
Mary joined Tuscany at McCormick Ranch since July 2004. She started in healthcare in 1978 in Michigan. She provided care for 10 years at a local hospital. Mary changed her career to Marketing but maintained her passion for seniors. She served as Marketing Director, Regional Marketing Coordinator and Regional Marketing Director for different communities in Arizona, Texas and Florida.

Mary’s role at Tuscany is building relationships with prospective residents and families and to introduce them to Tuscany. Mary ensures resident satisfaction through offering appointments to answer questions, tours for a personal experience of Tuscany, follow up calls to continue building relationships and events to invite prospective residents to meet Tuscany residents. She ensures resident satisfaction.

Mary moved to Phoenix area in 1981. She is married with 3 children, 7 grandchildren. Mary loves to read, cook and travel but spending time with family and friends tops her list. Email Mary Quinlan.

Michael Schwalbe
Executive Chef
Chef Mike Schwalbe joined Tuscany at McCormick Ranch in March 2005. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He has more than 25 years of knowledge and experience in many aspects of food service and has held management positions in fine dining, institutional, corporate and senior living organizations.

Chef Mike’s role is to develop an exceptional cuisine and provide quality service for an outstanding dining experience. Chef Mike ensures resident satisfaction through developing appetizing menus, offering the highest quality in food by selecting qualified vendors, and soliciting feed back from residents. He has received many acknowledgements including Food Service Director of the Year, featured in the Arizona Republic and showcased on “Your Life- A to Z” on TV 3.

Chef Mike grew up in New Jersey and moved to the Phoenix area in 1987. He takes pleasure in spending time with his wife and their 2 young children. He also enjoys the outdoors and hiking. Email Michael Schwalbe.

Craig Miller
Dining Room Manager
Craig started with Tuscany at McCormick Ranch in February 2004. He served in the Food & Beverage industry since 1974 managing different hotel operations nationwide.

Craig’s role is to create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere at Tuscany’s restaurant, DaVinci’s while enhancing the dining experience and satisfaction of our residents. Craig ensures resident satisfaction through supervising the wait staff, directing the resident flow into the restaurant and timely service.

Craig first came to the Phoenix area in 1971. He is married with three children. Craig enjoys design, woodworking and fishing.

Lee Harsh
Maintenance Director
Lee joined Tuscany at McCormick Ranch in February 2004. He has over 30 years experience in maintenance and has been a Maintenance Director for senior living. Lee’s knowledge in maintenance covers a variety of areas that provides an excellent resource to Tuscany.

Lee’s role at Tuscany is the care and maintenance of the interior and exterior of the community. He is responsible for all maintenance and housekeeping services and supervises the staff from each of those departments. Lee ensures resident satisfaction through maintaining the cleanliness and operation of each apartment or villa and addresses any issues that may arise while a resident is living at Tuscany.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Lee moved to the Phoenix area in 1995. Lee is married with 5 children and 9 grandchildren. Lee served his country and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. When Lee is not working on a project at Tuscany, he enjoys spending time with all of his family and when given the chance he enjoys skydiving.

Suzy Rhoads
Activity Director
Suzy has been with Tuscany at McCormick Ranch since its inception in April 2003. She began her career in Michigan as a secondary education teacher but found her passion for seniors when presenting a Grandparent’s program. She went back to school to obtain her Masters degree in social work and served as a social worker in senior living for over 30 years.

Suzy’s role at Tuscany is providing an energetic and diverse activity program that enhances the lives of each resident at Tuscany. Suzy coordinates and encourages resident involvement, schedules professional presentations, and hires performers and trainers. Suzy ensures resident satisfaction through offering residents the opportunity to find common ground, build relationships and develop a sense of “family” through a dynamic activity program.

Suzy moved to the Phoenix area in 1982. She has 3 grown and successful children and 2 grandchildren. Suzy enjoys her family, church, gardening and decorating. Email Suzy Rhoads.

Susan Schulte
Business Office Manager
Susan began with Tuscany at McCormick Ranch in November 2005. She served as a Customer Service Manager for over 11 years prior to Tuscany. Susan started as a apart-time Concierge then was promoted in August 2006 to Front Desk Supervisor and then promoted again to Business Office Manager in January 2008.

Susan’s role is to manage administrative responsibilities including billing, managing resident monthly charges, collecting monthly rent checks and directing incoming phone calls for Tuscany. Susan ensures resident satisfaction through supervising the Concierge staff, addressing resident’s concerns and providing a warm welcome upon first entering Tuscany.

Susan first moved to the Phoenix area in 1979. She is a graduated from the University of Tennessee. She is married and has one child. Originally from New Jersey, Susan lived throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
